Our Airdrop is currently being distributed to participants via a script. Although we intended for the process to be more accelerated; we’ve experienced delays relating to ongoing DDoS attacks on Neon APIs. We apologize for the delays and would like to once again thank all airdrop participants.
On the development side, we are excited to announce we have partnered with a Bluetooth consulting company to expedite the first Orbis Industrial SMART City Solutions. They will be working alongside our internal engineering and development team to push forward our flagship industrial app.
We’ve purchased hardware, associated development kit boards, and various sensors; to develop and test our solution with the purpose of releasing the first industrial use cases in the near future which will see us focus on the SMART City and Energy Savings sectors. We’re using Apache MyNewt as the open source lightweight operating system (OS) upon which OrbisMesh will be developed. Beyond that, we are in process of setting up a development lab with the supported hardware to test our initial SMART City use case scenarios.
Though we are using open source or third-party hardware now, Orbis will be developing our own circuit boards and ASIC for OrbisMesh. These will be offered to third-party developers and are expected to be in production by the end of 2019.
